Register to be a 2023 Pun-Off Contestant!

Form will be active until April 4, 2023 at 11:59 pm (CDT, GMT -5). You are signing up for a lottery, adding your name to a list from which contestants for each 2023 competition in Austin will be selected randomly. Expect an email on April 5th, 2023 to let you know if your name was selected as a contestant. You must reply and confirm your attendance to claim a place. Remaining persons will be added to an ordered Stand-By List and notified if a contestant withdraws. We almost always have some “no-show” contestants on the day of the event. All contestants including those on the Stand-By List are expected to check in between 10:30 - 11am at the Pun-Off Registration table on the day of the event (May 13, 2023). We wish you the best of luck and look forward to a pun-filled day at the 46th Annual O. Henry Pun-Off World Championships.

Pay attention to the P.O.S. time limits, strike-out procedure, and Bite Your Tongue Warning! I agree to my participation in the O. Henry Pun-Off being recorded as part of a public event for possible broadcast on TV, Internet, or other electronic media and waive my claim to any compensation. I hearby release and hold harmless the City of Austin and the Brush Square Museums Foundation or any other producers from any claim of liability.
